Wash you face, wake up.  Clean out your ears and listen.  Hamilton Loomis is just knocking them out with his new “Live in England” CD.  That’s right Hamilton Loomis.  I don’t know him either, but I do now.  This is a great live CD.  Talk about a blues singer, guitar slinger, and harp master this guy is the package.  A really good live performance.  No over dubs.  Right off the stage.  He has some stellar bandmates as well.  Just a wonderful saxophone player in Stratton Doyle.  Stratton opens the CD with some great blowing, and helps out with vocals, keyboards, and saxophone backups.  Kent Beatty on bass, Jamie Little on drums and vocals.  Hamilton just does everything on here and really knocks it out of the park.  He is a great fan of Bo Diddley and even plays his guitar on the CD.  As well as a Bo Diddley tribute piece.  Every song is a strong piece on its own.  Fourteen cuts on the CD.  The guitar work is outstanding.  So is the saxophone.  I don’t think there’s enuf saxophone in blues anymore, well not  like there used to be.  So go ahead and try it out.  A tight band, just the stuff you are looking for.  I have really enjoyed this CD.  Quite surprised at how good he is.  Can’t wait for the next one.  This guy will make some waves.  Check it out at hamiltonloomis.com.  The CD is called “Hamiton Loomis Live in England.”  Way better than you think, from some guy you may have never heard of.  Enjoy.  One Nation…..blue barry – smoky mountain blues society
